Day two of Chemo II
One and all,
We write from our winter palace here in Greenville. We continue to enjoy the doctors and nurses here at St. Francis Hospital. As we get to know them, by virtue of living here for weeks at a time, we find them all to be genuinely dedicated to patient care. In short, Harry is receiving a fine level of care from friendly, caring professionals.
On this day a rash appeared on Harry’s arm and hands, and we are awaiting word from the doctors regarding its seriousness. It does not hurt and is really only unsightly. No big deal.
Phaedra has been with us since the beginning of her Christmas break and will be here till mid January. She has been a huge help with everything, and we are enjoying her company.
Your support and prayers are what really sustains us here and so no day can pass that we do not thank you all for them. This cancer battle is tedious, extended, and demands careful behavior;e g., germ avoidance. Your expressions of care make the effort easy.
The Eucharistic minister just stopped in to adminster communion and she said to Harry, "May God continue to shower you with His smile." May he shower smiles on each of you as well.

Hi Harry-- Five days with two down already. My prayers and thoughts are with you and Eileen. Thanks for your wonderful blog. The kids send their greetings as well. Matt, Ellery, Anna and Jon all here for Christmas.

Mom and Harry, I love you both so much and I am thinking of and praying for you both just as hard and as much as the first time. I hope we can talk soon.
